The Magic Vibe®
| Training by Using the Stretch Reflex
Vibration causes a stretch reflex through which muscles respond by strong contraction. This reflex is involuntary
or automatic; it is essentially inexhaustible and occurs 30-60 times per second, depending on the selected
frequency. As a result, muscles tighten strongly and are assisted with contraction by the reflex, making exercise
easier. This is the foundation of vibration training.
Medical Considerations
Magic Vibe is suitable for MS, ALS and ME patients. The stretch reflex allows these patients to contract muscles
sufficiently and therefore increase mobility. Through increased hormonal emission and muscle strength, patients
function and feel better in ADI situations.
